Senators Beware

Polipundit has posted a poll asking readers, "What is the most important issue President Bush and Congress should tackle?" The choices listed are tax cuts, social security reform, judicial nominees or illegal immigration. When I last checked the results, 1230 votes had been cast and the issue of judicial nominees was leading with 47 percent of the vote. The majority of Polipundit's readers describe themselves as conservative and many of those are Republicans who will be voting in the 2006 and 2008 Senate races. Republican senators that doubt this issue is a high priority for voters do so at their own peril.
