Wallace to Have Hearing Tomorrow

How Appealing has the latest about the Wallace nomination, here.

My guess is that it's the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), which gets 1/3 of a billion dollars this year that will end up in the pockets of left-wing lawyers fighting left-wing pet causes supposedly on behalf of the poor.

With that Senator from California ready to filibuster Randy Smith, I'm waiting for the cloture motion to be filed. If the Republicans are really serious about confirming judges they have to file a motion today to get Smith confirmed by Friday. That will send a message to the donks to get ready for some votes. Also, if Boyle makes it our of committee tomorrow. Boyle is the bellwether because according to previous reports he has 60 votes for cloture. A serious majority does not allow committee filibusters, Sen. Hatch did not. We will see if they are serious today and tomorrow.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that a cloture motion can be filed on a nominee that is still technically in committee. That would mean that the earliest a cloture motion could be filed on Boyle, Myers and Haynes would be after tomorrow (given, of course, that those three are not delayed for consideration until Thursday like I think is likely to happen).

I'm waiting for Smith's cloture motion since he is on the executive calendar.
