Washington Post Backs Rosenstein

In an editorial today, the Washington Post debunks the objections to Fourth Circuit nominee Rod Rosenstein by Maryland Sens. Mikulski and Cardin, and warns that

blocking Mr. Rosenstein's confirmation hearing – as the Maryland senators may yet do – would elevate ideology and ego above substance and merit, and it would unfairly penalize a man who people on both sides of this question agree is well qualified for a judgeship.

So blocking him "would elevate ideology and ego above substance and merit."

I'm sure glad we haven't seen anything like that before!

will it make a difference? by Johnny Fontaine

While I'm glad to see the WaPo come out in support of Rosenstein, I'm not certain it'll make a difference. Both the WaPo and LA Times came out in support of Keisler, and little good it's done. Let's hope it helps.

Does anyone know what if anything can be done about the Dems not allowing a recess?
